The annual 3-day Milege World Music Festival is back on and happening from the 25th to the 27th of this month at Botanical Gardens Entebbe.
This year’s theme is ‘celebrate Africa’ and will have exceptional talents like Maddox Sematimba, Afrigo band’s Rachael Magoola, Giovanni Kiyingi and the Bengatronics group from Kenya as the main performers.
Besides the entertainment, there will be a range of activities like fishing, biking safaris, boat rides to Ngamba Islands chimpanzee sanctuary, a complimentary visit to Uganda Wildlife Education Center (Entebbe Zoo), indigenous games, fashion, visual art exhibitions, poetry, storytelling, bird watching, camping, biking, and forest walks among others.
The event is expected to attract participants from local and international destinations and is also a great networking platform for individuals and business seeking to widen their reach.
The Festival aims at strengthening the arts and culture sector in Uganda, its diversities and sustainability, by promoting and showcasing cultural music, arts and dance of the African continent in their pure and experimental forms.
Tickets are going for shs50,000 and are available at Entebbe Airport arrivals, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee sanctuary and Java House outlets or online at www.milege.org, Event brite and Swayhub. Gates will be open from 10:00am till late.
