When Dancehall singer Cinderella Sanyu aka Cindy’s nude pictures leaked way back in 2013, many said it was a publicity stunt because she did not have hit songs then and was looking for a comeback. They were wrong. Cindy, whose music has grown over the years and has managed to scoop the best female dancehall artiste in East Africa at the recently concluded Africa Music Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) had so much credit to give Bobi Wine.
While performing at Diners Lounge in Bukoto last week, Cindy, took a musical break to talk to the crowd and it was here that the Mukodo singer confessed that among the people who believed in her music and kept her moving was Bobi Wine.
“Bobi Wine is one artiste whom I attribute my musical success to,” Cindy said, adding that he was also the first person who called her when her nude photos leaked on social media. According to Cindy, Bobi Wine, in a phone call said Cindy has nice “bums”, something that kept her strong. Bobi Wine, who was among the crowd at Diners Lounge during the comedy night did not see the statement coming, and he burst out in laughter as he clapped his hands to affirm the statement.
