Back then, the entertainment Industry was only looked at in terms of singers. Other acts such as comedians and DJs were never taken seriously but now as the music industry is growing, they have become relevant.
Who knew that comedians would be delegated to take on a serious campaign aimed at raising funds towards curbing a given issue? As you read this, a group of comedians have been contracted by Kawempe Home Care, an NGO located in Kawempe that takes care of children suffering from cancer, TB and HIV.
The campaign dubbed Good walk will have comedians such as Dolibondo, Emma Napoleon, Afande Kele Kele and Alex Muhangi. With participants paying Shs20,000. The walk will start from Legends Rugby Grounds through Yusuf Lule, Jinja Road and back to Legends. The walk which will start at 8am on December 3 will climax at 1pm with a comedy show at Legends Rugby Grounds.
