The Kabaka of Buganda rarely appears in public. Infact, he will not grace any social function if it is not in any way related to a Buganda Kingdom cause. But if you are Afrigo, then maybe you could just be lucky that you get to perform before the King.
According to Moses Matovu, the Kabaka is slated to be the chief guest during the band’s ‘Royal Ball’ concert at Serena Victoria Hall on October 1.
The saxophonist was all over the moon during the announcement, adding that as the oldest band in the country, they are greatly honoured to perform in the presence of Kabaka.
Last year, the band celebrated 40 years with a mega concert made possible by Uganda Waragi.
