About 10 years ago, a singer made it to the local scene. He promised to give the big three then, a run for their money. His name was Clever J.
Clever J was known for hit songs such as Manzi Wanani, Fanya Kazi and Ensi Yaleeta, among others. Many said his voice was similar to Chameleone’s. Then he disappeared from the music Industry and there were reports he had relocated to Juba in South Sudan where he was running a music studio as well as doing music.
Well, at Eddy Kenzo Live in Concert on Friday, Clever J made a surprise appearance and boy was the crowd ecstatic!
“I wasn’t out of the music Industry, I was doing music in Juba but I am now back to focus on my country,” Clever J said. We are not yet sure if he will manage because man, the industry is oozing with so much fresh talent. But let’s wait and see.
