Chameleone is the one artiste who enjoys acting for the media. He usually does this to drag all attention towards himself. For example, at Namboole he will leave the pavilion and stand with coaches, while at the airport he will want to use the ‘Arrivals’ for ‘Departure’.
Just recently, he pulled some childish stunt at the Sauti Sol concert when he tore through a barricade and grabbed a mic from the legendary Maddox Ssematimba. He then went on to sing, spoiling Maddox’s party in the process. The stunts have worked in his favour but annoyed many along the way.
So when he showed up at the Kampala Serena Hotel for Africa Laughs and demanded that he gets a VIP table without paying, organisers would not have any of it.
He then exchanged a few words with the security people at the entrance as his hangers-on looked on in disbelief. The singer, upon realizing he wouldn’t access the VIP opted for the general area upstairs, hangers-on in tow, from where he sulked throughout the show.
