Few Ugandan people know Micasa but when it clocked 10pm, hundreds who had turned up for the 13th edition if blankets and wine event at Uganda Museum now know a song or two from the South African band because they left Ugandans yearning for more after putting up quite an emphatic music performance.

The three man band came on stage at 8.45 which was an hour late but they first apologised and explained that they got delayed for 4 hours. When all was sorted, they started off with what had brought them to Uganda. Music.
The trio kicked off their perfomance with Mafikizolo’s ‘Ndihamba nawe’, following it up with their original songs and mixing them up with cover versions.

What we noticed is however much Ugandans don’t understand certain languages, they will always give an artiste a reason to believe they enjoy what he’s singing perhaps because of the beats or because they are tipsy. This is exactly what transpired because they danced to every song the band played until the end of the show.

Earlier on Davis Ntale, Jackie Akello and Mo Roots had also stepped up to the billing but having been underated for a very long time, they too had a perfomance to talk about especially Mo Roots because hers was a mixture of vocals and instruments.

Despite people thinking this edition was going to be a flop, it actually turned out to be one of the best attended editions instead.
