If you are a bar-hopper or what most people prefer to call party animal, we are sure you have checked out Iguana Bar on Bukoto Street, Kamwokya. Well, If you were planning to drop in next week, bring that forward to today and tomorrow because after that, the bar will no more.
Iguana, which attracted mostly White patrons will cease its operations on Sunday as the structure will be broken down for another building.
According to regular patrons, they were told the place was bought by an investor who plans to construct office premises.
The bar will have a last party on Saturday night, during which the liquor will be sold at a ‘give-away’ price. It is not the first time such a thing is happening, Just Kicking, a bar in Kisementi also closed shop a year ago to give space for construction of a mall.
We are yet to find out if the owners of Iguana will find a new location or they will close shop for good because our Bazungu will surely miss one of their favourite hangouts.
