Fashion tip: beaded necklace

nec

The beaded necklace: K-Town is getting awash with the Zulu-inspired necklace. The girls are rocking it at outdoor events, kwanjulas and just being around. Be inspired to rock it too.

I am usually not the kind to go nuts over an accessory like a neck piece but all that is changing soon; thanks to the Zulu-beaded necklace.
This neck piece is the latest celebrity craze in town right now, with many of the fashionistas donning this colourful and quite stylish piece.
Stars such as Irene Ntale, Judith Heard, Sheila Gashumba and many others have all been seen rocking this piece.
The Zulu-inspired necklace, is quickly becoming a fashion favourite and it is not hard to see why. It is stylish, very edgy and adds a lot of character to any look.
The accessory can be worn as a necklace (preferably layered), and can be quickly switched up to a head dress, to add some style to your hair do.
Depending on what your style preferences are, it is quite easy to switch up this accessory from a formal look to a boho chic-inspired look.
For the formal look, you can add this necklace onto your two-piece look. If you are the kind that works in a more relaxed environment, this look will work tremendously on a Wednesday look. For the casual look, you can add it to your crop top, to a collarless maxi dress or even to a polo neck.
Whatever you choose, ensure that you keep the rest of your pieces in subtle shades so that this multi-coloured beaded neckpiece can stand out.
When you have exhausted all the neckline options, try adding it to your hair down look. Simply sit it around your forehead, and either let your hair down, or wear it in a ponytail.
For now, it might be hard to find these around Kampala, but you can ask a friend travelling abroad, especially South Africa, to get you at least three of these.
