If you have missed the last six days of the Kampala Restaurant Week, then you have up to Friday to partake of what is on offer at some 30 restaurants participating in what has become Kampala’s top food ‘festival’. With discounts at most of the restaurants and Hello Food’s free delivery offer, the second edition promises to whet your appetite.

Last week, Pearl Guide, the organisers of the ‘Restaurant Week’, took selected guests to three participating restaurants in one night with the aim of having a feel of what’s on offer.

The ambience and customer care were something to marvel about. Our first stop was The Bistro at Kisementi, off Cooper road.

The waiters and waitresses were smart, warm and friendly as they took orders of food and drinks. The food was on set menu, and that is where we had out starter- of delicious mini tacos- of chicken, beef and vegetable. They were served on finely carved-out wood for our indulgence.

Our next culinary treat was at Yugo Restaurant, for sushi, more drinks and a chance to compete at who could precisely pour beer from a bottle into a glass and who had the finesse of using chopsticks at record speed. The night ended on a high at The Lawns, with more foods.

The place has some of the best food in town.
Well, the restaurant week has partnered with chefs from 30 of the finest restaurants in the city to create one-of-a-kind three-course menus to tickle your taste buds.

Other participating restaurants include Liquid Silk Restaurant, Prunes Coffee Shop in Kololo, Pizza Hut at Village Mall, Riders Lounges, Saffron Authentic Restaurant, Speke Hotel on Speke Road in Kampala, Kabira Country Club in Bukoto, Tamarai Thai Restaurant in Kololo, Java House in Lugogo, among others.
One will need between Shs15, 000 and Shs30,000 for a proper treat.
Bon apetit!
