Following the ongoing investigations regarding Jeff Kiwa’s involvement in the child sacrifice of six year old Joel Ogema who was beheaded by his big brother Herbert Were a student of Lumino high school in Busia district, the Team No Sleep CEO and owner of Dejavu pub is considering legal action against singing duo, Radio and Weasel over allegations in a video clip that made rounds on social media especially Facebook.
Through his lawyers Muwema & Co advocates, Jeff Kiwa wants the dynamic duo to each pay a total of shs500,000,000 as atonement damages, take down the video clip, publish an apology on the same forum they published the video and also publish an apology in a main stream print media by Monday 20th this month.
Should they fail to meet his demands before the above date, Kiwa has instructed the lawyers to commence both criminal and civil actions at their own risk without any further warning.
In a letter released earlier today, it is said that the musicians created the impression that Jeff Kiwa is a ritual murderer yet by the time of its publication, the Uganda Police had just established that he was not involved in the ongoing criminal case of murder/beheading of Ogema as per the press release issued on June 1st 2016.
However, to retaliate to Jeff Kiwa’s intentions, it is said that the artistes are not afraid because this is not the first time they are facing charges as well.
According to Mozey Radio, the duo is ready to face the charges since “it is not the first time,”
“This is one of too many charges we have faced and it’s no different from the rest. If he intends to sue, let him go ahead,” said Radio.
However, our sources indicate that the duo’s manager, Chagga who is also a former artiste is confident the duo have all the evidence to backup their allegations and if Jeff sues, he should be prepared for the consequences.
