What artiste Angella Katatumba has been striving for is finally paying off as she was awarded with a Humanitarian award in the Uganda Entertainment Awards for her endless struggle to change lives.
The For you Gulu artiste was named the recipient for the Humanitarian noble award recently after her Mulago Yaffe campaign turned out a success and in an enclosed email, Ronald Kabuye, the chairperson of the organising committee confirmed the news. Katatumba will receive the award at the award giving gala on August 19 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
The nod comes at a time when the philanthropic artiste is organising her maiden charity VIP concert dubbed ‘Mulago Yaffe’ at Serena hotel next Friday with proceeds expected to go to the Uganda Cancer Institute for the fight against cancer.
Katatumba also donated Shs10m to the Intensive Care Unit at Mulago hospital and the donation was used to buy a phototherapy machine and a syringe pump is saving 60 babies every week. Congratulations Angella!
