Last year, Khalifa Aganaga held his first concert at Ambience club’s parking lot. Fuming revellers then called it a fiasco after poor sound failed him. Last week, the artiste and his manager Emma Carlos decided to make amends, bringing the ‘Manyigakazindalo 4×4’ concert to Theatre Labonita. This time around, the artiste registered what might just turn out to be the lowest turn up ever on the entertainment scene.
First and foremost, Thursday has never been a convenient day to hold a concert. Then, most of the advertised supporting artistes didn’t turn up for the event.
Khalifa, clad in stripped white pants, white shirt, trademark yellow big boots and a black waist coat took to the stage at 11:15pm and thanked the few people for turning up for his event. He then kicked off his performance with ‘Wanika Omikono’, ‘Guddie Guddie Gyal’, ‘Kweli Kweli’, ‘Nseko’ alongside Mina Izah, Dance Disco’, Ndadilawa’, ‘Ekitangaza and ‘Mukidongo among others.
Aganaga took some time off to throw a few jibes at his enemies, saying they cannot get a crowd like his. The excited audience clapped and cheered him on as the show went on.
He then invited revellers to share a stage with him. Surprisingly, or not, everyone in the auditorium went on stage, but it did not fill up.
