NTV Uganda is in the process of sourcing for producers and production houses with fresh ideas and a passion for television. The station recently made a public call to anyone out there that feels they have brilliant ideas to submit them.
The ideas will then be carefully vetted by a competent team and winners will have their productions fully funded by NTV. And voila, you will be in business!
According to our sources at NTV, the ideas can be in various categories such as travel, male talk shows, health and well-being, young women talk shows and entrepreneurship. NTV says this move is in line with their strategy of giving viewers fresh and exciting programmes as well as diversifying their content to appeal to different viewers.
NTV has a history of helping local productions thrive; take for example series like The Hostel and Deception.
In a related development, NTV recently hired renowned actress, TV and film producer Rosie Motene as their Head of productions, programming and acquisition. Motene is most popular here for her role in Generations as Tsego Motene. Her expertise speaks for itself; she has worked on and produced programmes such as Studio 53, Doctors on Call and Man on Ground.
