Although he was not the one in the labour ward, for some reason comedian Patrick Idringi, aka Salvado, was restless miles away in Nairobi.
The comedian made a stopover in the neighboring Kenya to take care of a business deal on Monday after returning from Nigeria where he put up an outstanding performance at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AVMCAs) 2016 in Lagos at the weekend.
But while in Nairobi, Salvado told us he felt an abrupt urge to be home: “I felt I was missing my wife so much. She had told me she was headed to the hospital and I just wanted to be by her side,” he said.
And later the same evening, Salvado changed his flight and decided to fly home that morning. He arrived at 6am and immediately headed to Bugolobi Nursing Home where his better half, Daphne Frankstock, was wailing with labour pains.
Two hours later, Daphne delivered the couple’s second baby – a healthy baby boy. The couple named him Aayden Idringi Junior. Salvado said they chose Aayden- which means ‘little fire,’ because he feels his new son is his “little fire”.
Congs Daphne and Salvado.
