Yes, Ugandan filmmaker Kenneth Sebaggala is one of the nominees in this year’s Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) nominations. As a matter of fact, Kenneth is a multiple nominee after two of his films – Call 112 and House Arrest received nods in the same category of Best Movie – East Africa, at this year’s AMVCA also popularly known as the ‘African Oscars.’
However, Kenneth – the Zenken Films director seems to have had a hard time choosing which movie to encourage people to vote for. But, he recently made his decision and advised Ugandans to vote for House Arrest, which he feels stands a better chance at winning.
The film won Film Of The Year at the UCC’s Uganda Film Festival 2015.
Kenneth said he based his decision on the fact that the movie is also nominated in the overall category of Best African Film.
And with voting slated to end today, Kenneth came out and called upon Ugandans to vote for him so that he can bring the award/s home.
To vote for Kenneth, visit www.africamagic.dstv.com, go to AMVCA vote, login to vote, register and follow the commands.
“Once you get a code, you can vote up to 100 times,” Kenneth said.
Let’s all rush and vote for our own. The AMVCA awards gala is slated for next month in Lagos, Nigeria.
