Mark Ssali, Kabuleta, Ssekamatte make a killing in NBS move

It has been one of the most trending stories of the week; we are talking about the exodus of the popular Spot On sports team from struggling WBS TV to NBS TV.

Yes, the team that comprises of veteran sports analysts and journalists; Mark Ssali, Alan Ssekamatte and Joseph Kabuleta recently threw in the towel at WBS TV and found their way into the NBS TV studios.
We are yet to establish what might have triggered the trio that has been at WBS TV for more than a decade to make the move. But for now, we have learnt that they have already started hosting a new show dubbed Home and Away that screens live every Sunday starting 10pm till 11pm.
Last Sunday, WBS TV did not air the sports programme.
The trio, according to pundits, is a good replacement for Joe Kigozi who switched to BBS, Aldrine Nsubuga now Star Times PRO, and Mike Mutebi, now KCCA coach.
But all this did not come cheap for NBS TV; sources revealed that the Kamwokya-based station had to dip into their pockets. It is estimated that each of the sports journos bagged about $10,000 (about Shs33m) each to put pen to paper.
In the meantime, we also learnt that NBS TV had earlier shopped other employees from WBS TV, including Joseph Sabiti and Mildred Tuhaise, former news manager JB Imokola as well as news producer, Goretti Kyeswa.
