Sheeba’s new hit “sili Zari” took Ugandans by surprise maybe because it involves some of the top socialites of Uganda like Zari and Desire.
Fashion and style in this video am not surprised it got her a nomination in this year’s Abryanz Fashion Awards.
With all the reactions that have been surrounding this hit song, Sheeba explains the deep meaning when she was hosted on K-FM D’ Hook show.
“90% of our media is negative and when the song was released, it was perceived negatively thinking I am comparing myself to the ladies mentioned. Sorry to disappoint you because I really do respect all the ladies in the song. So many times I have been surrounded by strong, beautiful and successful people that so many times, I thought I would get lost in their shadow. This is a message to other people out there who might find themselves in such a situation, when you are trying so hard to be like your mother, Sheeba, Zari and other people…relax, we are created differently, no need to fight so hard to be someone. Embrace yourself and the world will receive you as YOU ARE” She told K-FM’s Phyllis and Freddie
I guess you can now listen to the song again, I must admit, I never expected such an inspiring message from the Team No sleep queen. You are after all not just an entertainer but inspirational too. Keep it up
