Nigerian star D’banj, one of the top musicians on the continent is finally set to perform in Kampala this November. The Koko Master will perform at what has been dubbed as the Tropical Luxury party that will double as the launch of Ciroc Pinaeapple in Uganda. D’banj, behind songs such as Fall In Love and Oliver Twist was recently named the Ciroc brand ambassador for Africa joining globally known celebrities like Rick Ross and P-Diddy as brand ambassadors.
D’banj became the first African singer to represent the premium brand.
“I’m looking forward to what is going to be an amazing event in Kampala. Tropical luxury is about celebration. It’s about energy and fun. The people of Uganda embody these traits, and I believe they will welcome Ciroc Pineapple with open arms,” D’banj was quoted in a press release from UBL, the beverage company behind the event.
Annette Nakiyaga, the head of Reserve brands at UBL, said: “Ciroc Pineapple will introduce a new era of international luxury celebration and tropical glamour. Its unique pineapple flavour allows for versatile and creative cocktail-making, whether mixed with lemon-lime soda, orange juice, or pineapple juice and we are glad D’Banj will headline the unveiling party.”
D’banj, who is signed to Kanye West’s Good Music label will perform at Guvnor on November 13. Entrance to the event will be Shs200,000.
