The hottest Nigerian female disc spinner, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, aka, DJ Cuppy, is set to rock Club Venom tomorrow.
Did we hear someone wonder who DJ Cuppy is? Well, let’s bring you up to speed. DJ Cuppy, who also plays on MTV Base, is one of the leading African DJs and arguably the best female DJ on the continent.
For starters, DJ Cuppy is a daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola and unlike most of Ugandan DJs who forfeit academics, she is a graduate of Business and Economics from the prestigious King’s College London. She is currently enrolled at New York University, where she is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Music Business.
DJ Cuppy began her career at 16 in London, buying second-hand equipment and playing in clubs. She was the resident DJ at the MTV Africa Music Awards in Durban, South Africa in 2014. She was the official DJ at the 2015 Oil Barons Charity in Dubai, in March, and the first African to perform at the event. She was also featured in the 2015 April/May issue of Forbes Woman Africa.
DJ Cuppy is currently an intern at Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
The celebrated DJ will be playing at a party organised by Talent Africa and it will also feature Cindy and Navio. Comedian Salvado will host the event.
