The response from issues raised from the recently launched Jazz Comedy Wednesdays at Laftaz Lounge is a clear indicator that the weekly event is fast becoming a hot item on the entertainment scene.
A few weeks ago, Galaxy FM fans waged war against singer Bebe Cool after he appeared on the Wednesday show and gave his reasons why he had quit the weekly perfomances at Club Amnesia, a sister company of Galaxy FM.
DJ Nimrod, a presenter on the station, faced the wrath of Bebe’s Gagamel army after he made a post ridiculing Bebe. He later pulled down the post. Fast forward, controversial Urban TV Scoop on Scoop presenter Mary Luswata was in the hot seat.
And just like the several celebrities that have been rubbed the wrong way by her gossip news about them, comedian Dolibondo got to Luswata’s nerve when he questioned about her height or rather the lack of it. Looking bothered, Luswata asked if it was fair! Yes, Luswata also knows the word “fair”.
But the highlight of the interview was when Luswata was asked about singer Ziza Bafana’s recent video recording, in which he called her names and also denied having made advances at her.
Referring to the Pomini singer as “cheap and local”, Luswata went ahead and revealed a few facts about her love life. “I don’t deal with local cheap guys! My man is in the UK, that’s why I am always on the plane, to go and be with him.”
Luswata also teasingly added; “era embaga mugilinde” meaning, “you should lookout for my wedding!” All the best Luswata.
