Following last Friday’s story about how comedienne Anne Kansiime had a great time making fun of Rich Gang members during her recent visit to Johannesburg, we gathered more uncool news about the exact happenings at the show. We were reliably informed that after flooring them on stage, Rich Gang members Ivan Ssemwanga and King Lawrence followed Kansiime backstage and after being restrained from reaching her, they turned the anger to her manager and fellow comedienne Emma Kakayi.
“They slapped her and poked her with their fingers. They kept asking her why Kansiime had humiliated them. They left after giving her a few slaps and she was in tears,” said a source that was at the scene.
Kansiime confirmed the development, but she insisted she didn’t want to dwell into details. “I was disappointed in those guys. They stooped so low. Who beats a woman? I don’t want to go into details, but they should man up,” an angry Kansiime said.
Kansiime was the headliner at the recently concluded Star QT Fashion Awards premier held at the Johannesburg Hall in South Africa. She refused to hand over the microphone to Ivan Ssemwanga when he stepped on stage- instead referring to him as her bouncer. And when Ivan’s ally Lawrence joined on stage, the comedian referred to him as a back-up dancer. Kansiime refused to pick the money Ivan and Lawrence tossed at her and instead called them Sangomas. One word for Ivan and Lawrence?
