Besides being the only Ugandan and first East African to ever make it to the Forbes list of Africa’s richest men, tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia might soon be named the man with the biggest and most expensive home in the region. Two years ago, the Ruparelia Group boss vacated his house in Kololo and decided to have it rebuilt.
Sudhir and his family have lived at his Kabira Country Club all this long as works on his house valued at $2m (about Shs 5.8bn) went on.
But finally, earlier this week, Dr Sudhir shared with us a photo of the entrance to their new home that will be ready for occupancy in mid-June.
He, however, told us that his wife kept changing architects in order to get an exclusive home.
As usual, Dr Sudhir promised a big house warming do at the right time, and he promised to send all his friends invites to have a view of East Africa’s biggest mansion. Our names will be on Dr Sudhir’s guest list and as usual we shall share with you the images of East Africa’s most expensive digs.
