This is one of those movies that will make you stay in your seat minutes after watching it going like “wow!” It is based on a novel under the same name. I cannot imagine what it is like to read it because the movie is really intense. It is very disturbing to imagine someone going through this in real life. In the movie, every day when Christine (Nicole Kidman) wakes up, she remembers nothing. Ever since an attack that almost cost her her life, Christine has been suffering from amnesia.
Certain things evoke memories that make her question everything and everyone. Dr Nasch, a neurologist, gives her a camera to record her thoughts and what she has found out each day to help her recover her memory. Every morning he calls her to tell her who she is and where the camera is so that she can watch and know the progress she made the previous days. But when she opens up about the doctor, Ben (Collin Firth), the man she is living with and claims to be her husband drugs her. She, therefore, does not get to record important incidents of the day that if remembered will make her question him even more.
It later turns out that the man she has been living with is not her husband. He is the man she was cheating with the night of the attack. He is dangerous so she must find a way to get away from him. This movie is as creepy as it is intriguing. It is a good watch.
