Press and Information Officer, European Union Delegation to Uganda.
FIRST CAR
Toyota Corolla AE-110 SE Saloon
CURRENT CAR
A Toyota Premio (1996 model) . I like it because in almost every nook of Uganda, you will find spares and a mechanic who can handle repairs. It is also reliable and efficient. That’s why I have driven it for seven years.
DREAM CAR
I have several dream cars, but top of the list is a Ford Mustang GT and a Mercedes G65 AMG. Dark grey and black respectively.
FIRST JOB
I worked as a radio journalist reporting politics and covering government at Monitor FM- now 93.3KFM in 2003.
CURRENT JOB
I work for the European Union in Uganda. My primary responsibility is to enhance the profile and image of the EU in Uganda. I manage the public relations function, speak on behalf of the EU in Uganda and work as a link for information and knowledge flow between our various audiences.
Got where i am by
Hard work, experience, attitude, character and favour from the most high. I have been a journalist for more than 10 years and throughout my time in mainstream practice, I set out to distinguish myself as one of the finest. I am where I am today because of my reputation as a serious journalist, the evidence of my work and track record.
FAV GADGET
My mobile phone- a Sony Xperia Z1. I love it because it facilitates my work, has a fabulous 20.7mega pixel camera that shoots HD photos, even in water and has a good battery.
FAV MOVIE/series
The Life of David Gale starring Kevin Spacey. Powerful and gripping.
FAV MEAL
Everything my wife cooks; she brings magic to food. I enjoy everything from vegetable rice, posho and beans, potatoes, chicken to fish. When she isn’t cooking, give me the Acholi dish of pasted chicken, bo and kalo.
WORST HABIT
I am just too curious for my own liking and because the urge to want to know why, how, what and when about almost everything often rubs other people the wrong way.
INSPIRED BY
My dearly departed mother; she represented everything ideal and beautiful in the world. She was such a blessing and continues to inspire me to bless others.
