In just a space of two days, singer Bebe Cool spent several millions in a party, gadgets and a car. Last Thursday, Bebe threw a graduation party for about 10 of his fans from the Gagamel Phamily fans group. The party held at Bebe’s father’s Kiwatule Recreation Centre, saw Bebe’s wife Zuena present each graduand with a personal cake. Lots of drinks and food were served. Bebe used the party to send a message to all his fans to stay in school.
During the same party, Bebe selected five people whom he referred to as “the hardest working Gagamel soldiers!” The singer presented three of the select people with brand new tabs and he presented the other two with iPads. While handing over the communication gadgets, Bebe explained that he decided to equip the five people in order to encourage them to push his projects further on social media and also to fight for him whenever the enemies open up cyber wars.
From Kiwatule, Bebe treated his wife and select Gagamel members to a night of fun at the new Madiba’s Bar in Kiwatule.
Fast forward, two days later, Bebe surprised his wife Zuena Kirema with a Mercedes Benz as a Valentine’s gift. Bebe Cool only posted the car keys on his Facebook wall and some people commented that he had presented just keys and no car. Asked why he didn’t post a photo of the present, Bebe argued that he didn’t want to compromise his wife’s privacy and security. “It’s a personal present, not a music video. It’s hers to enjoy and consume alone anyway she wants, why would I then publicise it? That would be directly giving tabloid reporters a chance to disturb her privacy,” Bebe said. That was Bebe’s week of giving.
