The Nexus 6 is Google’s first attempt at the phablet with a quad HD 6 inch screen, the latest android lollipop and a price tag to match. Priced at about Shs1.8m for the 32GB phone, this phone is also produced at 64 GB going for Shs2.2m. The Nexus line of phones is crafted mainly to showcase what a new android version can do.
The Nexus 6 was manufactured by Google in partnership Lenovo’s Motorola. Unlike its predecessors, this gadget is curved at the back to improve grip for its size. 10.1mm thick with smooth edges. The Nexus 6 has a qualcom 2.7GHz snapdragon 805 processor with a 3GB RAM. The phablet also has a big battery and lasts approximately a day and a half of heavy use without battery saving mode active.
The Nexus can use Motorola’s turbo charger and better yet has Qi wireless charging. Nexus 6 is the first phone to run with the android 5 lollipop, which includes a series of design upgrades usability improvements and a power saving mode.
The 13 megapixel camera produces images with good detail and colour in bright light while its 2mp front camera suits video calls. Video recording is equally decent although 4k video takes 200mb per minute. The major downside of this gadget is the absence of an sd slot. Therefore, if one needs more space they should opt for a nexus with bigger space.
