The sports fraternity is gradually creating an intermarriage with the music industry. For years now, artistes have been on the lineup for the annual Friday Night Lights (FNL) fun basketball events. A few weeks back, singer Bebe Cool was named the Uganda Cranes ambassador while his arch rival was chosen by Nile Breweries to root for support for the national soccer team through their Cranes Namutima campaign.
Well, the soccer clubs are also not being left out on the trend. Sports Club (SC) Villa decided to appoint singer King Saha as their brand ambassador.
Saha met with SC Villa officials last week and an agreement was reached for the singer to record a song for the club and also officially root for support for the soccer club during all his performances.
And as you read this, Saha has already handed Villa officials a composition titled Villa Joggo, which is going to be used as an anthem for the club.
King Saha is also slated to attend Villa matches, whenever he can. An excited Saha told us that he is ready to do everything he can to ensure Villa regains its former glory as the best soccer club in the country. Congs Saha.
