Ten months later, former Super Fm boss may be on the road to losing his third wife. Last Friday, Isabirye posted on Facebook, saying when he returned home, his wife Rebecca Jjingo had packed her belongings and made away with his Shs30m meant for a project he is working on.
Joel then posted that someone tried to stab him on Saturday morning, but he survived without injuries. The self-proclaimed radio expert also added that he sent text messages to people close to him and if anything happened to him, they would tell the world who had done it.
Isabirye successfully created scary stories that if he was in the USA, he would have been taken into ‘witness protection’. Some corners alleged that his account had been hacked into! But alas! Our findings suggest otherwise. Sources told us that Isabirye opened up two files against Jjingo last Friday; counts of theft and domestic violence/attempted murder at Najjera Police Station. The cases were entered by Officer Jerome Arinaitwe. We also gathered from the police station where Jjingo was arrested on Tuesday and held briefly before she was released on police bond. The OC referred us to the OC CID, a one Constance, who also referred us to the DPC Kira Division.
The DPC, only known as Nkulega, told us that the couple had domestic issues that he didn’t deem fit to be in the press. On the issue of theft, Nkulega insisted that revealing details would compromise investigations. Jjingo and Isabirye got married last December at a lavish wedding held at UMA show grounds in Lugogo. Rumours have been making rounds that the couple’s marriage has been on the rocks for several months until hell broke loose last week.
When contacted, Isabirye said: “It is not true, my wife and I are very fine; I wonder where those stories came from.” He also refused to give us details on who tried to stab him, saying he was still investigating the matter.
