I used to think that success was rooted in wealth, safety, awareness, you know; Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, but I have learnt that real success is making a difference in someone’s life, like the single mothers who I employ to make shoes. It is setting your personal goals and achieving them, no matter what the world thinks of you and knowing what matters. Would you rather die with $30m in assets as your last thought or with the sweet memory of a nose kiss with a loved one on your mind.

I own Kaya shoes. I design, choose the materials, do some shoe construction, quality control and marketing.
Got where i am by
I used my salary while I was still employed to start the shoe collection. I just kept developing the shoes using customer feedback and creating new designs.
