Kansiime picked the award in person at the awards ceremony held in Sydney, Australia last weekend. Eddy Kenzo was the other Ugandan that won at the AAMMAs; he bagged the best new act award. Kansiime picked the award on his behalf.
But away from the awards, we would like to confirm a new development in Kansiime’s camp. The latest on our desk indicates that Kansiime’s husband Gerald Ojok popularly known as OJ amongst his peers is now the comedienne’s local manager.
OJ is Kansiime’s Ugandan manager while UK-based Johnson Mujungu is her international manager.
According to a reliable source, a few months back, OJ resigned his job as a lecturer at Kyambongo University and took on the full time duty of managing his better half. The source told us that the decision was reached after Kansiime sighted the possibility of spending so many days and nights without her hubby, as her schedule dictates that she must be in a different country almost every weekend for the whole of this year.
Kansiime also offered OJ a hefty revenue share from each gig that she will be doing. On hearing the cut off every gig, OJ hurriedly tendered in his resignation and started managing his woman.
In other news, Kansiime co-hosted the AAMMAs with respected American actress Vivica A Fox as well as top Nigerian Nigerian actors Ramsey Nouah and Pascal Atuma. Congs Kansiime.
