However, as the announcement was being made, Kansiime was in Ndola, Zambia, where she headlined a show that sold out.
The crowd shot above the venue capacity of 2,000 and several people watched the show on their feet. Kansiime travelled along with fellow female comedians Cotilda Inapo and Emma Kakai to Ndola.
And Kansiime was accorded VIP treatment, that included sleeping in a five-star hotel, two body guards and transport in a state-of-the-art Lincoln.
But before the concert, Kansiime engaged in some charity work in Zambia. She visited Face of Africa Child Foundation orphanage in Kantolomba, Ndola.
She cracked the children’s ribs as she pulled a few jokes in her child-like character. The orphanage named it’s new clinic after her.
And as she boarded the plane back to Kampala, Kansiime received a call from a promoter in Dar es salaam, Tanzania, telling her that all the 1,000 for her show slated this weekend had been sold out. One word for Kansiime.
