Mary Luswata has made herself a name for her sharp criticism of celebrities during her Urban TV Scoop on Scoop TV show. Many a time Luswata also directly disses her victims without fearing that she could easily be harmed by the people she attacks.
Some celebrities have come up in retaliation; Judith Heard met the Vision Group CEO Robert Kabushenga asking that the presenter be relieved of her duties. NBS presenter Doreen Komuhangi made news when she stormed Urban TV offices demanding to size up with Mary Luswata. Well, Luswata seems to enjoy the response from her victims, as she always returns and throws more disses at the celebrities that attack her.
Last Saturday, Luswata took her daring antics a notch higher when she decided to serve patrons behind the counter at the monthly Star Bartender theme party at the Namugongo Roadbased Asylum Bar & Lounge.
The turn up was massive, not with her legion of fans and hater, but one of Luswata’s recent victims, David Kazoora a.k.a. JK was also in the building! JK first walked to the counter, threw tantrums at Luswata, before he ordered for a bottle of Black Label. He then took over the microphone and asked Gagamel’s DJ Bryan to pull down the music; “Who said Mary Luswata is even a celebrity? OMG she’s too short!” JK roared as patrons cheered on.
The club management rushed to JK and requested him to surrender his weapons and good enough he heeded but not fully. Kazoora went on to once in a while throw a diss at Luswata as he hyped up the party all night. The former radio and TV presenter went on to remind Luswata that he is a pioneer of her game.
When she was done serving in the counter, Luswata told us that her time in the bar was exciting; “I got a few disses but I also got so much love from people who like what I do. I’m happy JK is here and he has taken a few shots at me. But I’m more excited that I sold quite a lot! I’m happy to be part of this charitable theme night.”
She decided not to take any shots at JK then. However, on Monday, Luswata was at it again; JK and his recent woes in Rwanda was her topic of discussion and she didn’t do him any justice.
