Kenzo uses Daily Mail video review to request Ellen to host his dancers

kenzo“These kids have talent! Ugandan children perform splits and headstands in infectious music video routine,” read the headline of a review of Eddy Kenzo’s latest video Jambole, in one of UK’s biggest media channels, The Daily Mail.

Yes, Kenzo’s music has effortlessly gone that far and he is not bragging about it. Instead, all the down to earth Kenzo could tell us is, “I thank Allah, I thank the Ugandan media and my fans. With everyone’s help Ugandan music can go so far.”
The Daily Mail review focused on how “an adorable group of Ugandan youngsters showcase their impressive dance skills in a toe-tapping new music video.”
The review also recognises Kenzo’s ability to gain recognition for his unique music videos, with use of local talent and natural settings instead of high-priced sets.
The review appreciates the fact that the new video had been watched by more than 150,000 since it was uploaded to YouTube on June 17. The review also takes into account, the fact that Kenzo’s earlier hit, Sitya Loss – has garnered more than 3.3million YouTube hits.
But in the same article, Kenzo is quoted as having launched a petition to try and get his young dancers featured on the popular Ellen Show in a bid to give them global recognition. The show is hosted by TV personality Ellen Degeneres in the US.
“Ellen we ask you to host these talented kids on your show so that Americans can get a chance to see how we the Africans groove,” Kenzo was quoted.
In a related development, as proof that Kenzo’s Sitya Loss hit is still spreading like a wild fire, a new video showing Ivory Coast national team players dancing to the tune, was uploaded to YouTube earlier this week and it’s trending at a very high rate. Go Kenzo.
