But not even this generous gesture won Afande Seiko, even a handshake from Desire, whose daughter Seiko recently claimed paternity for. Instead, Desire walked straight into former Kampala Mayor, Al Hajji Nasser Sebagala aka Seya’s arms. The two danced and hugged, as the crowd cheered wildly as she sang Nze Nina Omwami (I have a man). And in a rather exciting display of financial muscle, Seya pulled out Shs1m and contributed to the cause.
Desire also introduced the father of her daughter, Mr Kaddu, who also contributed Shs1m.
But there was one person, who was neither introduced nor recognized. He sat in the crowd like a regular guest, but we managed to single out Franklyn Emouba, the Nigerian National. Emouba merits mention because according to sources close to Desire, he is the man behind her lavish lifestyle and the biggest funder of the concert.
When she said she is comfortably dating, Desire was talking about Emouba. “He is a businessman and he has been with Desire for sometime. He trades in Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait and so many other Middle East states,” the source told us.
The source added that, whenever Franklyn is in town, he spends a lot of time with Desire and that they are also constructing a country home and apartments on Entebbe Road. Emouba tried to hide his face from the cameras, but our paparazzi finally got him.
