At the mention of the name Club Ambiance, Masaka town quickly comes to every one’s mind. Although situated several hundred kilometres away from Kampala, Club Ambiance, according to several people that have visited it, is the best nightclub in the country. But others argue that it only comes second to Club Guvnor.
It’s also a fact that several people, especially those that travel to Western Uganda, stop over to have fun at the club while some others once in a while drive from Kampala just to dance the night away at Ambiance discotheque.
But soon, you might not have to drive all the way to Masaka. Having opened up an upmarket dancing spot, also called Ambiance in Mityana towards the end of 2012, Joseph Kiyimba, the proprietor, is set to open up a dance spot in Kampala.
According to a source close to the electronics dealer, Kiyimba started construction of the new Club Ambiance premises at Bukesa, Bakuli, some months back.
“He (Kiyimba) supervises work himself and construction inside was completed last week. They are now going to start on the lighting and décor,” the source told us.
The source also told us that the new club is vast. “It’s a very huge thing. I think it’s going to be the biggest club in the country.”
The source also told us that Kiyimba, who is a renowned dealer in music equipment, shipped in special sound and lighting equipment for his latest investment. “Technicians from Nairobi are starting to fit in the sound and lighting equipment next month and the club will be officially opened in May,” the source added.
