Bebe, who sustained serious injuries and spent several months in and out of hospital yet confined to a wheelchair, had earlier demanded for Shs800m to cover loss of income for a period of one year, but court awarded him Shs380 also considering the fact that he had previously got $100,000 (about Shs250m) from President Museveni to cater for his medical bills in the US.
However, Bebe and other beneficiaries including his bouncer Abbas Kabyobo aka Cobra who was awarded Shs80m, and Bebe’s cousin Allan Masengere aka Short Kut who was awarded Shs25m, have not yet received their compensation as court ruled.
And Bebe, whose aggressiveness is a public secret, is not about to stay home and wait for the money to be deposited on his account and he has hatched a new plan. The singer along with his allies have for the past few days pitched camp at the ministry of Justice offices along the Parliamentary Avenue.
The singer has been to all top offices and yet he doesn’t seem like he is about to be discouraged by the bureaucracies at the institution.
According to sources close to the singer, it is now a norm to visit the ministry headquarters whenever he returns from Nairobi where he is participating in the Twende Kazzi game challenge.
