If you judge an upcoming artiste’s ability by his ability to out fantastic videos, he may spend his entire life believing himself to be poor at his game. But then again, when a video is up for scrutiny, everyone cares less whether it’s an upcoming or an already made music artiste.
Far Away is one of those videos that disappoints on its colouring and lighting. No one will ever get why someone could choose to shoot a video at night, if this video is being shot on budget. The auburn visual effects all make it so obvious that they are amateurish and the darkened spots of the music video don’t even make it better. Do I get the storyline? I don’t think so, I could guess it’s something about love, but then, what is it about this love specifically?
And the video vixens don’t help the situation either. I find them to be so much in their shells and not able to come out to give the video life. Not at one moment do I get to see the two gentlemen watching this lady character from far away as they sing about her. Getting some binoculars and standing on top of a hill could have helped save the storyline.
Far Away is most likely one of those videos someone deserves to watch from far lest they are judged as mean. How do they even fail to hold the wine glass by the neck? Or how do they fail to pick the best location?
Is there any good? Perhaps the sync is done right, audio matched to the visuals. Dreign and Rhymix try their best to bring life to the video; at least they tried to invest in their wardrobe before the video shoot.
