UK-based model in Christmas Charity

SandraIt has been said that Christmas is a holiday where everyone, irrespective of their social or economic standing, must enjoy.
However, with different baggages in different households, many continue to miss out even on just one good meal.
However, this Christmas, a lucky needy few will get the chance to enjoy a sumptuous meal courtesy of Sandra Kabasambu, a young, UK-based Ugandan model.

Kabasambu, contested in the Miss Uganda-UK pageant last year, and won the title of “People’s Queen” – a title voted for by the public.
Kabasambu is set to hold a fundraiser at Ibamba Restaurant (at the Uganda Museum) tonight, to solicit money and resources to guarantee some underpriviledged people out there a samptous lunch on Christmas Day.
“We are raising money to sponsor Christmas meals for those that aren’t fortunate enough to afford them, so they too can have the joy of a good Christmas lunch or dinner.” says Kabasambu.

And one of the creative ways Kabasambu intends to raise money will be by selling promotional beauty products from her company Geala Cosmetics at discounted prices to the guests. “A percentage of the returns from the sales will be used to sponsor the Christmas luncheon,” Kabasumba explained.
The fundraiser at Ibamba starts with a cocktail at 4pm today and will go on till late.
