Salvado to perform at Glo Caf awards

SalvadoThe Crackers comedy outfit recently changed from holding a weekly comedy show to two monthly shows. The two comedy shows are still held at Theatre Labonita every last Wednesday and Friday of the month.

The shows are now characterised with big names in the entertainment industry from across Africa. Last month was Peter Miles and Kenyan star comedian Eric Omondi as the headliners at the bi-monthly comedy shows. According to Crackers manager Sams Kaggwa, the move was to ensure that the fans enjoy fresh content as the comedians now have a whole month to prep. “We also realised the weekly shows were expensive to put up.”

And as the new move got into place, comedian Patrick Idringi, aka, Salvado, was busy inking a mega deal in Lagos, Nigeria. He signed a two months deal that has seen him perform every weekend on a comedy tour alongside Basket Mouth in different Nigerian States.
And as the deal comes to and end tomorrow December 22, Salvado decided to fly his fellow Crackers Director, comedian Alex Muhangi to perform at the Glolafta Fest show in Lagos. Muhangi, Salvado and their manager Sams, fly to Lagos later tonight. The show will have names like Basket Mouth, Bovi and Buchi.
And December 26, Salvado and Muhangi will perform alongside West African celebrated comedians Akpos, Bovi, Eddie Khadi and Senator at the Conference Centre in Accra, Ghana.

But all the above seem like a warm up for Salvado as the former MTN engineer will be experiencing yet another milestone in his career when he performs at the 2013 Glo-Caf Awards to be held on Janaury 9, 2014 in Lagos.
Glo-Caf Awards are held in celebration of continental footballing excellence. The awards have recognised outstanding African stars since 2005. Players like Samuel Eto’o Fils, Didier Drogba, Freddy, Emmanuel Adebayo and Yaya Toure have won the prestigious award.

Salvado will share the stage with top continental entertainers like, D’Banj, the masked one and Afro-Calypso originator, Lagbaja, P-Square, South African enigmatic singer Lira, Flavour Nabania, Marieke Koch, a swing act from Germany, Pole Rangers and The Three Waiters from South Africa.
