Goodlyfe snubs Entebbe Battle for reunion with Chameleone

Radio and WeaselAs anticipated, this year’s Battle of Champions between Goodlyfe and Bebe Cool was a remarkable one. With quite a number of groovy songs, the boys were out to give Bebe Cool a run for his “Big Size” title. They played well, but Radio and Weasel didn’t play just long enough. At Kyadondo Rugby grounds, Bebe laughed last as he sang alone for another hour after the Goodlyfe boys had sang their last song.
And at the second edition of the battle, that was held at Resort Beach in Entebbe on Sunday,  Radio and Weasel were a no show.

Although they were in Entebbe town, the Magnetic singers chose to spend some time with their mentor cum former nemesis Jose Chameleone who sparked off a reunion after sitting on their side and cheering them throughout the Battle of Champions last Friday night.

Radio and Weasel were seen drinking and laughing with Chameleone and AK 47 at Spenah Beach before they headed to Club Venom.
Critics have come up with several allegations about the Chameleone – Good Lyfe reunion. Some suggest that Chameleone supported Radio and Weasel to ensure they are by his side when he battles Nigerian singer Davido on December 20.  Others say that with their recent international appeal, Chameleone needed to reunite with the duo to once again have them under his control, hence coming out as the biggest on the land.

But amidst all these allegations; Radio & Weasel and Chameleone were all excited to be together again and they made posts on their respective Facebook walls to that effect.

On the other hand, sources close to Radio and Weasel said the organisers of the Battle of Champions, BK Afrobeat and Abtex Promotions didn’t “want to honour the clause of full payment before performing at the second concert,” that was in the contract they signed.
The organisers refused to pay them. They wanted them to first perform, and they chose not to perform before they were paid,” the source said.
