He is proof that education never ends. Just when we thought that Roger Mugisha, had made it as a star as far as radio and event hosting is concerned, the man has proved to us that the journey is just getting started.
In a move that seems to defy odds, the KFM morning show co-host last week graduated as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM) in UK.
Yes, Roger did not choose to pursue further studies in broadcasting or film but marketing. And on this, Roger, sounding rather philosophical, told us that, “All media is a subset of marketing.”
Over the weekend, he hosted a congratulatory party for his latest achievement at Club La Face in London. The party was attended by several UK-based Ugandan musicians who entertained Ugandans based in UK.
He is set to travel to the US for another party before he returns home to throw another party. But Roger has not yet revealed if he will be applying for any top marketing job though a source told us that he had suggested some top investors to consider him for marketing jobs.
To all of marketers: Roger might not return to the next Marketers’ Night as an emcee but as a comrade in the trade. Congs Roger!
