As they head to a battle with one of their sworn arch rivals (Bebe Cool), Radio and Weasel will surely need to at least win an award out of the two categories in which they were nominated in this year’s Channel O Music awards (CHOMVA).
Radio and Weasel are nominated in two categories; Most gifted Ragga/ Dancehall video as well as Most gifted African video (East).
Rapper Navio is among the other contenders for the Most gifted African video (East). And the Good Lyfe duo is not taking things lying down. The two have been involved in a serious campaign for votes from the public.
Both Radio and Weasel as well as their managers have been involved in social networks Facebook and Twitter campaigns urging people to vote for them.
The Good Lyfe duo went a step further to send smses to people urging and teaching them how to vote for them. “Vote @RadioandWeasel in the #CHOAMVA for most gifted ragga dancehall video (Can’t Let You Go) sms 5E to +2783142100415 or go to Twitter and tweet #CHOAMVA Radio and weasel,” read the text message.
One of the managers in Good Lyfe told us that they really need an award especially that the CHOMVA awards ceremony is on November 30th, “just five days before the battle with Bebe!”
When contacted, Mowzey Radio revealed that they are desperate to have a continental award just days to the battle. “We need to go to the battle with a present for our elder. He needs to be inspired, it’s not too late!”
