The Audi Q5 is a mid-sized utility vehicle manufactured and marketed by Audi since 2008. The Q5 is smaller than the Audi Q7 and larger than the Audi Q3. It is an impressive car, with generous passenger space and a large boot. It’s well equipped and the dash is clear and easy to use.
Petrol choices include 2.0-litre units and a supercharged 3.0litre. The latter two are both impressively quick. The diesels make more sense for most buyers, and the 2.0-litre makes the 3.0-litre V6 diesel a little irrelevant as it’s performance is so good.
If you want an SUV that handles like a hatchback, the Q5 is great. There’s immense grip and solid body control, so you’ll have more fun driving it than you will most other cars in the class.
The down side is that it’s a pricey car that costs about $50,000 (Shs125m) before importation and taxes.
