With the tour in its sixth week, 200 people now stand a chance of each winning Shs5m in the three categories of the competition. That is Fifa’13, Tekken (combat) and Split Second (racing). This weekend the Tour heads to the east and it will cover Jinja and Mbale towns. Jinja College, Busoga College Mwiri, Mbale Municipal Grounds, Eltanjia Club are some of the places where talent scouts will be searching for the best video gamers in eastern Uganda to compete at the grand finale at Kololo Airstrip come November 2.
Timothy Luzinda, the Mountain Dew brand manager, says people in eastern Uganda should sharpen their video gaming skills.
The project received an injection of Shs700 million by Mountain Dew. So far, it’s about honing one’s skills and being rewarded for having extreme fun.
