There is something for the family to enjoy this weekend. Planes is a good three dimension (3D) movie that will have everyone enjoy some action from Disneyland.
It is a comedy adventure about Dusty, a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying racer in the air. This humanised plane is not exactly built for racing and what is even funnier is that he happens to be afraid of heights. So Dusty turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps qualify him to take on the defending champ of the race circuit.
There are people who doubt his abilities, his boss being one of them. But his forklift mechanic friend is very supportive. Dusty will need more than support though. His courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible. Even after losing a couple of races he is willing to keep trying, which presents good lessons of persistence and patience for you.
Planes is based on a concept created by American animator, Chief Creative Officer at Pixar and Walt Disney John Lasseter. A sequel, titled Planes: Fire & Rescue, is scheduled for theatrical release in July next year.
