To many he is the best dancehall artiste in the land and while we can’t confirm the allegations, we cannot hide the fact that we appreciate singer Peter Miles’ talent when it comes to dancehall music.
And we can confirm that we are not alone as the United Nations also acknowledged they like Peter Miles’ works. This was reflected in the UN’s recent appointment of Peter Miles as the new UN Ambassador under the U –Report initiative which is a worldwide communication forum campaign under the watch of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Miles was unveiled at an initiation conference held at the Commonwealth Resort in Munyonyo earlier this week.
“I met with U report representatives from across the country and I was introduced as their ambassador. My role is to sensitise the youth as their role model. I will also represent U Report Uganda at global level,” an excited Miles told us on Monday.
Miles will be sensitising the youth about several things including healthy living, community projects, talent development and so many other campaigns. Miles is also expected to represent U report Uganda at a U report conference in Hong Kong in November.
Miles was tightlipped about why he was chosen and what he earns as a U Reporter ambassador for the UN.
However, he told us that through his new role, he expects to meet and connect with internationally acclaimed high profile people, more exposure through international interactions as well as some facilitation from all the trips.
“To join U Report, one just has to go down to the messages feature in their phone, type join and send to 8500. It’s free,” Mile told us.
Congs Peter Miles!
