I watched this with a bunch of friends and like other Tyler Perry movies in this category, it started out as an ordinary love story with an ordinary plot. It also gives a fair dosage of humour especially during Kim Khardashian’s scenes. The scripts for her scenes were tailor made for her. It is only Kim that will ask why you have shown up to office in flat shoes instead of high heeled shoes.
And it is only her that can say things like, “You don’t have a degree on your wall and without a label (designer clothes) on your back.” It also features Lance Gross, Vanessa Williams and Robie Jones Jurnee Smollet. Its full title is Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counsellor, and that is pretty much what the story is about, it is an anecdote, a story within a story and it is intriguing. Towards the end, it becomes controversial.
First, you must give credit to Perry for the lesson that if you sleep around without checking the person’s status, you can catch HIV/Aids. The problem however is that Perry fails to be a voice in the age where people are advocating partners not to abandon each other even when one is HIV positive. This is because life can still continue normally and they can even give birth to HIV negative children. By failing to support that Perry misses. Watch it and tell us what you think.
