Zari denies being battered again

Ivan and Zari

Ivan and Zari

Last Friday moneybags Zarinah Hussein aka Zari and fiancé Ivan Semwanga each offered Shs5m towards the Nabagereka Development Foundation projects during the Ganda Boys show at Serena hotel. All seemed well until Monday when rumours started spreading that Zari had been hospitalised after a fight with Ivan.

Zarie has in the past complained about domestic violence and had actually broken up with Ivan for a few months. Rumour had it that Ivan accused the mother of his three boys for being a prostitute before the pair fought on Sunday night at Fusion Bar in Munyonyo.
It is alleged that Zari’s long conversation with a male friend infuriated Ivan and the “tycoon” had a verbal exchange with his fiancée before he pounced on her and gave her a good beating. However, on Monday, the same day the rumour was making rounds, Zari posted on her wall saying whoever was spreading the rumour was out of their mind!

“What’s with rumours that I am in hospital with a broken nose! Last I checked am doing my nails at my house,” read the post. We, however, gathered that Zari and Ivan had a verbal exchange at the same bar but they did not get physical! “They were here on Sunday and they quarrelled but they left at the same time although in different cars,” a source at Fusion told us.
Our simple prayer is that domestic violence not visit Zari and Ivan’s relationship!
