Excel Events equipment held at Kololo airstrip

Excel Events boss Patrick Muyonjo is not a very happy man. The reserved sound engineer was the victim of circumstance after Ministry of Defence officials decided to confiscate his sound and stage equipment after the autoshow at Kololo Airstrip.

Word has it that the organisers led by a one Justus, failed to clear the balance for the venue as they had agreed with the Ministry of Defence that manages the airstrip. Muyonjo’s Excel Events was a service provider for sound and stage equipment but since the organisers were nowhere to be seen, by the end of the show, the no-nonsense Special Forces Group officers who guard the airstrip decided to hold the equipment until they would get clearance from their bosses.
The UG Auto Show was held last Saturday and Sunday respectively, for each car exhibited owners paid Shs50,000 while revellers parted with Shs10,000 for entrance.

We have also learnt that Gerald Luyima of Vibes sounds had hired some of his equipment to Muyonjo and they are also being held up. Luyima has tried to explain to all concerned authorities that he was just a service provider, but his pleas are yet to yield any fruits.
